We Built a News Feed Where Every Article Is Cryptographically Verified

Cryptographically Verified News

You can’t tell what’s real anymore.

Every video from a warzone - assume it’s a deepfake until proven otherwise. Every photo of an explosion, a convoy, a refugee column - synthetic until verified. We’ve reached the point where the rational default is disbelief.

This isn’t hypothetical. It’s today. Right now, state actors and random teenagers with laptops are producing footage indistinguishable from reality. And it’s only going to get worse.

What We’ve Been Building

Noosphere is a digital integrity platform. We’ve spent years on the hard stuff - securing software supply chains the same way you’d secure any critical infrastructure. SBOMs, code signing, attestations, policy enforcement. Enterprise security for organizations that can’t afford to ship compromised software.

We treat media the same way we treat code: as a supply chain that needs to be secured end-to-end. Who created this? Who published it? Can we verify the chain from origin to your screen?

Our Fun Side Project

Noosphere.news started as a way to help publishers onboard to the trust ecosystem. A sandbox. A proof of concept.

We recently added something new: a news feed that only shows articles from publishers we can cryptographically verify.

Not “verified” because they paid for a badge. Verified because:

  1. The publisher signed the article with their organizational identity
  2. That identity chains to a trust anchor (a journalism organization, press council, or standards body)
  3. We verified the entire chain before displaying it

If we can’t verify the publisher, the article doesn’t appear. Simple as that.

What Readers See

When you browse Noosphere.news, every article shows:

  • Who published it (verified, not claimed)
  • Who vouches for that publisher
  • When it was signed
  • The full trust path you can inspect yourself

Click on any verification badge and see the relationships. See the metadata. Make your own trust decisions with actual information instead of vibes.

Why This Matters Right Now

We’re in a war where information is a weapon. Deepfakes of surrenders that never happened. Fake footage of atrocities to inflame or demoralize. AI-generated “news” sites pumping out propaganda at scale.

The old model - trust the logo, trust the domain name, trust the platform’s curation - is broken. We need cryptographic proof of origin. Not because it’s cool technology, but because it’s the only way to know what’s real.

For Publishers

If you’re a newsroom and you’re not signing your content yet, you’re going to have a problem. When everything can be faked, provable authenticity becomes your competitive advantage.

We’re running a publisher pilot. We’ll get you fully set up on the platform - for free. Your content signed, your organization verified, your articles showing up in a feed where readers can see the proof.

No cost. No catch. We want more publishers in the trust ecosystem so readers get the immediate benefits of content authenticity, provenance, and integrity.
